One down, 35 to go...
We survived our first week of school! Our son is successfully transitioning into his new school-year routine. My husband and I on the other hand, are still trying to get the kinks out of our at home schedule, in addition to learning the expectations of parents with a special needs child in public school. We've meet so many new people that play such a vital role in our son's educational experience, that they're names and titles are all starting to blend together. We are also quickly recognizing what we've always heard is actually true, that you have to be an active participant in your child's education; and despite the fact that this experience is completely new to us, we are ready to partner with these experts in order to reach our goals.
